Are you interested in joining the lab?
NOTE: Funding is tight for everyone these days.
- If you are interested in joining the lab as a postdoc, I only have space available if you obtain a fellowship - so please talk to me ahead of time to discuss application steps (KUCG Fellowship Due March, NSF PRFB Due October).
- If you are interested in joining the lab as a PhD student, I will be prioritizing students who are interested in working mainly with publicly available sequence data, with some prior experience with coding (Unix, Python etc).
Prospective Postdocs: I have research funds for various projects, though nothing allocated for a postdoc salary. Thus, if you think my lab might make a good home for your postdoc, let's talk about ideas that you can write up for a fellowship. For instance, there is a Postdoc Fellowship program through the KU Center for Genomics, and the NSF Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program .
Prospective Graduate Students: I only take students through the Multidisciplinary Graduate Program in Molecular Biosciences which requires a lab-rotation. Take a look at my research interests and see if this interest you enough to send me an email to discuss it further!
----> Unfortunately, I am not taking any more UG students for Fall 2025 (very, very full!) <----
Prospective Undergraduate Students: If you are interested in biology research and think my lab might be a good place to learn, please send me an email! It's OK not to know *exactly* what you are interested in, but if my work sparks your interest, then let's chat about how I can help guide your scientific experience.
