Are you interested in joining the lab?
Starting August 2024, I will be looking for people of various stages to join, including Undergraduate students, Graduate students (PhD), and Postdoctoral Researchers!
Prospective Postdocs: I currently have funding through my NIH K99/R00 to fund work on transgenerational inheritance of hypoxia tolerance using zebrafish as a model. There is also a Postdoc Fellowship program through the KU Center for Genomics, a hybrid research + teaching postdoc fellowship through the KU/Haskell IRACDA program and the NSF Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program (which I have had, and have coached many people on theirs). So, if you have ideas to work on that you think would mesh well with my interests, then please feel free to contact me!
Prospective Graduate Students: I can take students either through the (a) Multidisciplinary Graduate Program in Molecular Biosciences which requires a lab-rotation and also (b) Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Program which requires a direct-admit to my lab. Take a look at my research interests and see if this interest you enough to send me an email to discuss it further!
Prospective Undergraduate Students: If you are interested in biology research and think my lab might be a good place to learn, please send me an email! It's OK not to know *exactly* what you are interested in, but if my work sparks your interest, then let's chat about how I can help guide your scientific experience.
